GeoFlyer S dtirol / Alto Adige 3D allows to navigate in 3D one of the most beautiful mountain areas of the world. The dataset contains very high resolution data, and the terrain shape is shown in 3D with an unsurpassed detail for an iPhone application: Dolomites peaks are accurately reproduced, providing a realistic visual experience. Images have a maximum resolution of 50 cm. The navigation movements can be intuitively executed, following common standards: panning, zooming, rotations are carried out by means of one or two fingers on the screen. A Search feature allows to locate any place name, from major cities to small villages. A GPS feature allows to show your current position in the 3D scene (of course only if you are inside the map bounds). The GeoFlyer application needs an Internet connection to retrieve the data, but it uses cached data when a connection is not available.
Requires iOS 3.1.2 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
